Earth Fare touts standards with competitor-focused promotion

The promotion: Shoppers who trade in a competitor’s private brand food get 25 percent off Earth Fare private label food products.

Promo length: Through March 21.

Community give-back: Earth Fare also will donate $1 to local store food banks for each participating customer, up to $5,000.

Earth Fare's Food Philosophy: All products sold are free from high fructose corn syrup, artificial and trans fats, artificial colors, artificial preservatives, artificial sweeteners, bleached or bromated flour, antibiotics and added growth hormones. The Boot List breaks it all down.

Earth Fare private label standards: In addition to the Food Philosophy, private label products are non-GMO.

From the boss: “We believe that a key component to living a healthier, longer life is making the right food choices, and that means saying no to harmful ingredients that are, sadly, all too common on many grocery store shelves,” president and CEO Frank Scorpiniti said via press release. “We want all of our communities to enjoy only the cleanest, healthiest food available.”

About Earth Fare: Founded in 1975 in Asheville, North Carolina, Earth Fare has 39 locations across nine states in the Southeast, mid-Atlantic and Midwest.
